He 'penetrates' her skin. Which could relate to theories that he may have wanted to have a sexual relation with his mother figure.

V for Vendetta notes from lesson

V for vendetta

The masked character is clearly the dominant character as he controls the explosions.
The female character is portrayed as weak as she is looking at what is happening in a scared way.
The man on the screen is important as he is talking to many other men in suits which suggests they are also important.
The man on the screen is always in the centre which means he is more dominant and in controlled than the people sitting below the screen.
V is shown in darkness through most of the clip which shows that he may play and evil part in the film.
Evey is shown looking at this destruction, however she is a lot smaller in the frame than when V looks at the destruction. This suggests that she can't stop what V is doing and is frightened of what is happening whilst V is looking up at the destruction whilst he is bigger in the frame that Evey was which suggests that he is enjoying what is happening and that he is the cause.
The chancellor is shown in a focus shot as he is the ruler of the men bellow him.

V for vendetta is an 'anti hero' - He is doing bad things for good reasons.
He may be viewed as a terrorists however if you flip the coin he wants revolution. (Freedom) - everyone is living in the age of no freedom. The film is told in a way in order to make you side with the terrorists as the film is in the age living in a dictator ship. V is loving chaos which could make us question his mental stability.

Secret police 1 (creed) - the character is in the middle of the shot which suggests he is important. The fact he is in the darkness at the beginning of the shot also suggest that he is a character to watch as he may be the villain.

Secret police all together; the camera shows them all as one however the lighting shows them individually which could suggest that they are all against each other at the same time.

Close ups=Importance
Compartmentalisation
UK being represented as a dictatorship
Voeyeurism - watching or looking.
Can be identity aspiration or sexual concept.

The world has been taken over by apes and the Statue of Liberty is covered in sand. The Statue of Liberty has gone down which suggests lack of peace.
-------------------------------------
Style
Despotism film
Genre
From the clip it could suggest that the film is a Rom/Com as there is a man and a woman. However, it isn't. It is more drama based as it shows and focuses on the characters and their emotions. - post apocalyptic.
It could suggest society, although the characters are dressed in rags and with a horse which could suggest that we have almost rewinded back to the Stone Age.
-------------------------------------
Cinematography - Narrative

The first shot shows the isolation of the scene as it is a long shot.
It is mostly shot from above (Birdseye shot) which suggest that the characters are insignificant to the rest of the planet.
The camera shot becomes closer to him to show his animalistic ways which are very similar to the ways an ape would act. (Close up shot)
The camera shot at the end is mid-long as it shows the abandoned beach whilst showing the 'peace figure' of America it also shows she is superior to the human as her spikes frame so of the shot.
The camera angle from above (high angle) also shows that the animals(horses in this case) are more dominant than the humans.
The panning shots suggest to show the isolation of the beach and planet.
The Long shot foreshadows an event.
Atomic bomb- we have blown up humanity.
They leave it on a cliff hanger in order to portray a message to the audience that we are causing damage to the world.
The camera doesn't follow the man breakdown as it wishes to portray he is weak and powerless as to almost look down on him. He is completed isolated and lost.
